My hero academy is one of the most popular anime around, with the latest season captivating fans as always. Manga fans were well aware of the significance of the arc that will be covered in the anime, which turned out to be an absolute joy to witness first hand.

While each season of My hero academy was pretty brilliant in its own right, there's no denying that some parts are just better than others for a number of reasons. While fans must have their favorites, every season of My hero academy has episodes and arcs of varying qualities that can be ranked by how enjoyable and memorable they are. 7 Season 5

MyAnimeList: 7.36

The fifth season of My hero academy it was a lot of fun to watch in itself; however, it lacked the high stakes that fans have become accustomed to over the past few seasons. While the pace picked up with the League of Villains becoming serious villains with immense powers, this arc came way too late and followed a bunch of plot and story beats that didn't matter.

Of course, as is the case with any My hero academy season, the anime was still packed to the brim with amazing animations and great revelations. Seeing Deku control a totally different power in the form of Blackwhip made for a great moment, and this plot thread would pay off in Season 6. Ultimately, Season 5 feels mostly like a setup for its successor, specifically the Meta Liberation Army arc which is pretty much all the groundwork for Season 6's Paranormal Liberation War arc.

6 Season 4

Season 4 features some of the My hero academyIts high points, the mission to save Eri being a massive highlight in an action-packed season that is filled to the brim with amazing animations and fight sequences. However, Season 4 is also where the show's production starts to show some of its limitations, leading to some of the manga's most notable fights suffering from poor artistic choices, overproduced segments, or both.

Notable examples of this include the slideshow fight after Mirio loses his powers and the complete lack of sound when Midoriya unwittingly uses 100% of his power to save Eri. The former takes a lot of emotion out of Mirio's valiant efforts to save Eri no matter what, while the latter is just a confusing decision where viewers don't know what's going on until Midoriya narrates the whole chain of events.

5 Season 7 (Episodes 1–19)

Season 7 still has two more episodes to air, but enough content has been released to make a judgement. If the last two episodes change the position of the season, the article will be updated accordingly.

Similar to how Season 4 struggled to live up to its immediate predecessor, Season 7 faced an uphill battle to be considered a worthy follow-up to its predecessor. While interesting in its own right, the impact of the Final War Arc is somewhat neutralized by the existence of the Paranormal Liberation War Arc, a similar but more chaotic and intense story. Ideally, they should be seen as one continuous saga rather than separate battles, but they're broken up by three short arcs that slow the pace. More importantly, Season 7 just doesn't feel fresh compared to the 2022 entry.

Just to be clear, My hero academy season 7 is still fun. The Star and Stripe arc kicked things off on an epic note, instantly pitting All for One (in Shigaraki's body) against America's top hero. Although it only lasts about two episodes, this fight is among the best in the anime, with both characters immediately going in for the kill. The only thing holding this arc back from pure greatness is that Star and Stripe is a minor character in the grand scheme of things.

The UA Traitor Arc has an interesting premise that unfortunately doesn't add up to much. The idea that one of the students provided information to All for One could have been great, but the reveal fell flat due to the reliance on a character who couldn't carry that kind of drama. The betrayal was quickly swept under the carpet.

Ultimately, those two minor arcs were simply setting the stage for the Final War, an all-out conflict fought on multiple fronts. Unlike the rather one-sided Paranormal Liberation War Arc, this contest is much more even, with the heroes getting the jump on the villains. Shigaraki's/All for One's fight with Deku eventually takes center stage, but dozens of characters on both sides get their time to shine. Final War is good with moments of greatness.

4 Season 1

The first season of My hero academy it was half the length of the show's other seasons, but it only took a few episodes to get fans hooked on the story. Midoriya might not be much of a protagonist, with his clichéd personality being obvious to everyone, but he's a great focal point for an underdog story that will fulfill the power fantasies that many viewers look for in most anime shonen's,

The introduction of All Might is also pretty cool, motivating Midoriya to push his limits and perfect a body that is worthy of housing the One for All. This caused Midoriya to become an extremely powerful glass cannon that would become completely ineffective with a single use of his Quirk, this explosive yet damaging power being the focus of attention during the entrance exams when Midoriya shows his hero qualities.

3 Season 2

Unsurprisingly, My hero academy shot into the stars after the strong impression made by the first season. Fans couldn't wait to see how Midoriya and the rest of Class 1-A would use their powers, and the anime certainly didn't disappoint in that regard. Sure, Midoriya was still a self-destructive maniac, but he found a new and clever way to use his power that wouldn't cripple him from just one use.

There are several iconic moments from the series that take place in the second season, including the amazing fight between Midoriya and Todoroki, which was pure spectacle and delivered in every way. The fact that Midoriya was able to unlock the Full Cowl and control the use of One for All was also quite welcome, with the introduction of Gran Torino slowly revealing All Might's unique and interesting backstory.

2 Season 3

The arcs that took place during season 3 were amazing, developing the backstories of several characters and proving once again why the League of Villains was a group to be feared in the series. Perhaps the biggest reason so many fans appreciate this season is that it features All Might's final superhero battle before retirement.

His fight against All For One is full of emotion, and his final blow essentially serves as Midoriya's passing of the torch. The students also get to shine in the various arcs of the season, with the battle between Midoriya and Bakugo helping the latter's character evolve in a way no one could have predicted.

1 Season 6

MyAnimeList: 8.26

After two rather disappointing seasons, My hero academy it had not only to come back with a bang, but also to pay for the work at the feet of the previous springs. Fortunately, season 6 revitalized the anime in a big way, delivering perhaps the strongest saga of the Paranormal Liberation War. As the heroes attempt to cut the villains off at the knees, they launch an all-out assault that spirals out of control very quickly, resulting in casualties on both sides and unprecedented collateral damage.

The first half of season 6 represents My hero academy the most frantic, consistent and epic. Each episode builds on the last, leading to a thrilling and unforgettable conclusion. The Dark Hero arc is also pretty good, even if its mileage depends on the viewer's appreciation for Deku, since he's the focus of almost everything. This story also ends on a quieter note that contrasts with the almost non-stop action that preceded it, setting up Season 7 in the process.
