Blood is usually thicker than water, but Luffy proves that sake and shared experiences can triumph over that. Fans got to know Luffy's brother during the Alabasta arc, but their bond was really explored when Ace's life was on the line.
Hearing that his brother was about to be executed, Luffy delayed searching for his scattered crew members and infiltrated Impel Down, the World Government's maximum security prison in the world. Luffy later went to Marineford to free Ace and bravely challenged three admirals to save his brother, all motivated only by their will and loyalty to Ace.
7 Bon Clay sacrificing himself
Risking life and liberty
Bon Clay may not be a main character or one with a lot of screen time, but he is definitely one of the most loyal individuals to grace Luffy's life. After collaborating on Impel Down, Bon Clay showed his loyalty to the Straw Hat captain by repeatedly risking his life when Luffy was on the brink of death.
His many sacrifices cannot be exaggerated, but nothing compares to when the imitating individual sacrificed not only his life but his freedom. The moment when Bon Clay was revealed to have impersonated Magellan to aid in Luffy's escape will forever be remembered as it was both heartbreaking and heartbreaking.

After Nekomamushi and Inuarashi, Pedro might as well be the next leader of the Minks. But believing in Monkey D. Luffy, an individual with so much potential, Pedro did not hesitate to sacrifice his life for his beliefs.
Dying for someone else is incredibly heroic, but willingly blowing yourself up makes the act and effect that much grander and more moving. In the short time Pedro met Luffy, he became incredibly loyal to him and showed that loyalty without much pain or regret. He willingly gave his life, a feat that some of Luffy's crew may not be able to accomplish.

Loyalty to Alabasta over freedom
The princess of Alabasta Kingdom has been through a lot with the Straw Hats. In order to defeat Crocodile and free her country, Vivi fought alongside the Straw Hats and bonded with them, becoming similar to a fellow crew member. After Crocodile's defeat, it was time for the pirate crew to leave Alabasta, and whether or not they would go with Vivi became a huge decision.
Although it was a tough decision, Vivi ultimately decided to stay back. In this way, she remained true to her country, shouldering the burden of the citizens who had to rebuild, rather than living a free life as a pirate.

Soul King Brook was a unique find for the Straw Hat Pirates. Finding him at the Florian Triangle, he and the crew went forward to confront Gecko Moria, a warlord at the time. By defeating Moria, Brook became a member of the crew; unfortunately, soon after, the crew was separated for two years, despite Brook only being a member for a few months.
During these years, Brook gained immense fame as the Soul King, a rock star. However, instead of continuing to enjoy the fame and money, Brook gave it all up for a crew he had only been a part of for a few months.
3 Taking Luffy's pain

The straw hat style swordsman suffering in his captain's place has always been and will continue to be talked about because of how legendary he was. Luffy is known to always take immense damage after a fight, but no one really knows how fatal his injuries are. That is, of course, until Zoro took her.
At that moment, Zoro gave up his life and ambition for his captain, stating that his ambition didn't matter if his captain was dead. To make his incredible feat even cooler, Zoro never complained or talked about it, ending all questions about what happened with “Nothing happened.”

A legacy of patience and loyalty
The story of Samurai Akazaya is one of pain, hardship and loyalty. After Kaido executed Oden, his servants escaped, vowing to one day avenge their master. Interestingly, this revenge would not come until two decades into the future.
Some of the Samurai patiently waited out the years, while others time-traveled into the future to have a rematch with Kaido. In a situation where many would simply flee the country or live their own lives, these samurai waited patiently and plotted for 20 years, all to avenge their master. In the end, their patience paid off, but this would have been impossible without their unwavering dedication to the cause.

The sacrifice of a nation
Minks have perhaps the greatest show of loyalty yet in One piece series. Despite being tortured for days and nights by Jack, the All-Star pirates of the Beast, men, women and even children were willingly tortured and experienced the death of their loved ones.
All to keep Raizo safe, an individual who hasn't been heard from in over 20 years since he was also sent into the future by Toki. What makes this feat so great is that one person did not accomplish it; it was an entire mink nation without any betrayal, despite Nekomamushi and Inuarashi losing an arm and a leg respectively.
