This not only applies to some of Ichigo's friends, but also to several of his enemies, who are known for being very outgoing in their personalities. When his story Whitening starts to heat up, these characters are always the ones ready to jump headfirst into battle, no matter how dangerous things might get along the way.
8 Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez
Espada's unpredictable wild card
- First appearance: Episode 116
While most Espada are presented as modest and rather aloof characters who prefer to keep to themselves, Grimmjow is the exact opposite. Whether he's recklessly heading into the world of the living to beat up Ichigo, or lashing out at his comrades for the slightest inconvenience, he's a wild card who frequently feels the need to act on his impulses.
A warrior always looking for a fight, Grimmjow doesn't shy away from approaching almost anyone, though he often prefers to let his claws do the talking once he spots his latest victim. His outgoing nature has gotten him into trouble with Aizen on numerous occasions because he's a little too reckless, but now that he's freed from his master's shackles, the former Espada is potentially more dangerous than ever.
7 Kisuke Urahara
Urahara prefers being around others to conducting independent research
- First appearance: Chapter 13
Despite being one of the most intelligent characters in the series, Kisuke is never afraid to speak out loud about whatever random and weird ideas are on his mind, even if they have nothing to do with the mission at hand. In addition, Kisuke can always be seen with the people around him, which means that he is a character who likes to be sociable.

Bleach: 8 characters with the best arcs
These Bleach characters have experienced tremendous growth and development since their introduction.
In his shop, for example, his loyal assistants Ururu, Jinta, and Tessai are always there to keep him company, but once he enters Soul Society, he welcomes all the other Soul Reapers, including his protégé Mayuri, with open arms. Kisuke also seems to be a big fan of spontaneous travel, always popping up in the most random places to have a quick chat, even if that place includes Ichigo's bedroom window, which is definitely not weird at all.
6 Pepe Waccabrada
Love Guru is the very definition of a “human person”
- First appearance: TYBW episode 23
Pepe may only make a brief appearance during his time in the Thousand Year Blood War arc, but he still knows how to make himself known in the limited screen time he's given. Pepe is a Sternritter who is obsessed with the idea of love, believing it to be the one central component that keeps the world going, and as a result can always be seen preaching his ideology at the top of his lungs whenever he appears.
In addition to being a guru of love, Pepe is also one of the most approachable Sternritter in the series, always ready to embrace those who fall in love with his powers. Pepe's over-the-top personality is of course why many fans find him a bit irritating, but he's still arguably one of the most outgoing Quincys in the world.
5 Rangiku Matsumoto
Rangiku is always willing to share a drink and meet new people
- First appearance: Episode 24
Bleach author Tite Kubo knew exactly what he was doing when he paired Hitsugaya and Rangiku as captain and lieutenant respectively. While the former is a calm and stoic captain who takes his role very seriously, Rangiku is a fun-loving and mostly carefree partner who often tries to bring Hitsugaya out of his shell through pranks and pranks.
Although she's capable of going head-to-head with a worthy opponent, back at the Soil Society, Rangiku likes nothing more than to see which fellow soul reapers she can scold over a drink at the local bar. Being so outgoing means she has plenty of friends within Soul Society, unlike many of her comrades, who have at least a few people they'd rather not get along with.
4 Kenpachi Zaraki
Kenpachi's thirst for battle means he will approach anyone he deems worthy
While Rangiku might hunt for people to share a drink with, Kenpachi, on the other hand, is always looking for people with strong spiritual pressure to engage in battle with. The captain's undying thirst for battle means he doesn't hesitate to approach anyone he deems a worthy opponent, even complete strangers like Ichigo.

As soon as Ichigo landed in Soul Society to save Rukia, Kenpachi sprinted towards him, eager at the prospect of facing someone who could surpass his own powers and abilities. Kenpachi is also a man who likes to shout out loud whatever is on his mind at the time, a prime example being his gleeful response to Gremmy's summoning of a meteor in the Thousand Year Blood War arc.
3 Riruka Dokugamine
The only time Riruka lowers her energy is when she tries to impress Ichigo
- First appearance: Episode 343
In a similar way to Grimmjow, Riruka feels like an anomaly in her respective group. Rather than deploying a mysterious persona to avoid attracting attention like the other Fullbringers, Riruka has no problem being as loud and energetic as possible, especially when she has Ichigo in her sights.
Riruka's more positive and lively personality adds much more vitality to the Fullbringers as a unit and is part of the reason why she has become such a fan favorite. Although a more troubled young woman is seen underneath, Riruka can often be seen as a fun-loving, outgoing and extremely outgoing enemy turned ally of Ichigo.
2 Nel
Even in adult form, Nel is as mischievous and eccentric as ever
- First appearance: Episode 146
When Nel takes the form of a child, it makes sense why she seems so sociable and carefree given her young age. When she's not yelling at Ichigo's opponents or covering him in mucus, Nel likes to dance with her loyal companions Dondachaka and Pesche or play with any goons she comes across in Hueco Mundo.
While it might be easy to assume that Nel would become a little more mellow and introverted as she evolves into her adult form, that's actually not the case. Instead, she still retains her optimism and childlike personality, which makes her a lot of fun to watch on screen, though perhaps not as much fun for Ichigo, who she'll often try to hug to death.
1 Bazz-B
Bazz-B is a loud, bombastic, but also enormously powerful member of the Sternritter
- First appearance: TYBW episode 3
Bazz-B may be a hothead who always presents himself as one of the strongest Sternritter, but he's not completely wrong as he possesses an incredibly destructive set of abilities that make him a deadly force to deal with. However, whenever Bazz appears, he always tries to be the center of attention and is never shy about letting his emotions out if he's upset about something.
This can be seen when Uryu is introduced to the Sternritter ranks. While many of the other soldiers begrudgingly accepted their new companion, Bazz-B threw a fit and did the same when Renji insulted his stylish mohawk. He may be a bundle of energy, but it's also easy to get under Bazz-B's skin, which is by far his biggest vulnerability.
