Acting as the voice of Arlam Village, Petra Leyte is one of the most underrated members of Team Emilia. Starting out as an innocent young woman who idolizes Subaru and his actions to protect her home, Petra joins Roswaal Manor as a maid, hoping to help Subaru on his journey.

Despite her lack of combat skills, Petra emerges as a strong team player in Team Emilia, even when attacked by Elsa Granhiert at Roswaal Manor. Among Subaru's followers, Petra is one of his most loyal, drawing inspiration from the protagonist and his heroic actions.

A mysterious knight who provides humor when needed

Often referred to as Priscilla Barielle's loyal knight, Al has become a mysterious figure lurking in Re: Zero world. Despite being a lackey for Priscilla, Al gets along well with Subaru in their meetings, seemingly having common ground with the protagonist.

When the comic character returns in season 3, he proves his worth by joining the war party sent to deal with the members of the Witch Cult terrorizing the town of Priestella. Although the character lacks the full power of other knights, Al remains an intriguing character, serving as a bright spot in Priscilla's entourage.

First Sin Archbishop Subaru encountered

In Subaru's journey, Petelgeuse Romanee-Conti was the protagonist's first introduction to the Witch Cult, with the Archbishop of Sin causing Subaru a significant headache. Originally a kind-hearted man who acted as a father figure to Emilia in her youth, the now crazed and obsessed Sin the Sloth Archbishop only seeks to meet the Witch of Envy, with Subaru having an unknown connection to Satella.

As Subaru tries to save Emilia, the residents of Roswaal Manor and Arlam Village, Petelgeuse stops Subaru, endlessly killing him and causing much pain and suffering. As Subaru's first main nemesis, Petelgeuse proves to be an eccentric and wild villain, making the second half of Season 1 a thrilling sight to behold.

A talented mage who plays both sides

As the benefactor of Team Emilia, Roswaal L. Mathers is often overlooked in camp compared to characters like Subaru and Rem. However, Roswaal was an integral part of the narrative throughout the first two seasons of the show.

Often playing both sides while supporting Emilia, Roswaal has ulterior motives that are revealed in Season 2, as the powerful mage seeks to reunite with his master, Echidna. Proving to be one of the best antagonists of Season 2, Roswaal's goals and ambitions provide a thrilling contest between the mage and Subaru, with the protagonists' victory allowing both characters to grow.

4 Julius Juukulius

A strict knight who becomes a valuable ally to Subaru

As one of Subaru's main rivals, Julius Juukulius has become a valued friend and ally of the protagonist in his many battles over time. Re: Zero. Often cast as an upstanding knight who has traditional values, Julius and Subaru butt heads during the royal selection process. However, Julius has come to understand and rely on Subaru as a friend as he aids him in his fight against Petelgeuse and later the Witch Cult of Priestella.

Working as Anastasia Hoshin's knight, Julius became one of Priestella's critical defenders, attacking the captured City Hall with the help of Subaru and others to save the city.

3 Otto Suwen

Chief Strategist of Team Emilia

Otto Suwen may not be the strongest in battle. However, the former merchant undoubtedly made his mark on Team Emilia, assisting Subaru and later becoming a strategist for Emilia in her political endeavors. Initially aiding Subaru in his efforts to save Roswaal Manor and Arlam Village, Otto proved to be one of Subaru's most trusted friends, saving him from despair when Subaru confronted Roswaal in the Sanctuary.

Along with his role on Team Emilia, Otto's Divine Tongue Soul Protection makes him a useful asset, with his ability to communicate with animals coming in handy, especially during the Sanctuary arc.

2 Felix Argyle

A playful healer who remains loyal to Crusch

One of Crusch Karsten's knights, Felix Argyle, is one of the many characters who provide much comic value in Re: Zero. Despite lacking the power of Crusch's other knight, Wilhelm van Astrea, Felix makes up for his lack of combat with his superior healing abilities, used during the battle against the White Whale and when the Witch Cult attacked Priestella.

In addition to being a healing prodigy thanks to the Divine Protection of Water, Felix's relationship and chemistry with Crusch makes for a fun tandem, with Felix's playful attitude blending with Crusch's traditional, serious persona.

1 Crusch Karsten

Strong and heroic leader, full of class

As a Royal Selection candidate for the throne of Lugunica, Crusch acts and shows the role of a strong leader as the head of House Karsten. Although she may not be as popular as Emilia or Reinhard van Astrea, Crusch has achieved many feats in Re: Zero.

From helping lead the assault on the White Whale alongside Subaru to aiding the efforts to stop the Witch Cult of Priestella, Crusch led nobly and without hesitation. Despite losing his memories to Lye Batenkaitos, Crusch has continued forward with the same perseverance as he fights for a better society that he wishes to lead.
