It's been almost a year since the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. I know, it feels like Insomniac's fantastic sequel has been in our lives a lot longer. Unfortunately, there is still no indication that the sequel will receive any DLC. There is a silver lining though, especially if you like Funko Pops. Six more figures related to characters and costumes featured in the game have been unveiled and will all be available for purchase this week ahead of the sequel's first anniversary.

Venom was introduced to Insomniac's Spider-Verse through Spider-Man 2, and the symbiote, who already has a Funko Pop based on his likeness from Insomniac's latest game, now has two new figures. One depicts Venom with outstretched wingswhich makes for a pretty impressive design. Venom's second appearance in this latest batch of Spidey Pops makes for an even more impressive design though. such a good one Funko made it into a figure and a keychain.

Peter's symbiote skin also gets a Pop!

Pop was called Advanced Suit 2.0 Symbiote Takeover as it depicts Peter in the sequel's basic costume while being influenced by Venom. Spidey's Advanced Suit 2.0 peeks out from behind the symbiote as it consumes the webbing, hooks out, and a transparent stand attached to the back of the figure to make it look like it's pushing Spider-Man off the ground.

If you haven't played Spider-Man 2's story yet and want to avoid spoilers, stop reading here because I'm about to discuss something that happens later in the game. Sure, the game is a year old, but there was a lot to play between then and now. If it's still in your inventory waiting to be played, hey, I get it.

Joining the two new symbiote Pops are four non-Venom figures. Well, I think one of them is adjacent to Venom. Scream is actually an extension of Venom, and that part of the symbiote ties into MJ in Spider-Man 2, creating a dilemma for Peter. Scream's unique red and yellow design has been transformed into a Funko Pop which will be available at Amazon and other Funko retailers later today.

The other three pops joining the Funko Spider-Man 2 collection are alternate looks for Peter, Miles Morales and Harry Osborn. Peter's black and white Anti-Venom suitone of the best looking in the game, is now a Pop, with Miles' rather suave appearance City Sounds Suite he also joins the Spidey look that Harry has when he's the one under Venom's control completes today's drop.
