The Veilguard feature should be revived in ME4

Game development is a long process and many ideas and core elements can be cut during development for a number of reasons. This can happen despite the best interests of the game or what the developers really want to be in the game. Dragon Age: The VeilguardIts developers recently held a Reddit AMA where they confirmed several cut features. Notable among these is the removal of a New Game+ feature from which it was cut Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Unfortunately, the AMA also revealed that there are no plans to implement NG+ in the future.

The importance of including New Game + in games like Mass Effect


NG+ is an extremely useful feature and takes a lot of the tedium out of collecting in later games, especially items like weapons, armor, and aesthetics. Dragon Age: Inquisition It also lacked NG+, but did have a solution in the form of the Golden Nug, a statue that allowed the player to sync their collectibles, such as weapon and armor schematics, through saves after completing the game at least once. Once this was done, all they had to do was resync with Nug at the start of the next game, and all their old schemes from previous games would be available to them.

Mass effect is a very different franchise from Dragon Age in many areas, but has much in common with Dragon Age and other RPGs in terms of needing NG+. How Mass Effect used NG+

This allowed for a very different gameplay experience in a later game, making early game missions more challenging due to higher level enemies, but also more dynamic due to the variety of powers and abilities that would be unlocked at that point. The same benefit could be felt by The mass effect 4 if a New Game Plus mod is present at launch, so hopefully BioWare makes this feature a priority.
