Gigantrite quickly became something of a mascot for The Throne and Liberty since launch; the giant flying whale has become a popular destination for game players looking to take a ride on the back of the Solisium sky. Of course, the reason they're looking for the big creature isn't just for fun, as Gigantrite also plays a role in some of the game's quests. As more people boarded a flight, many began to notice various points around the animal's back that require players to have a vital stone in their possession to interact with them.

Here's everything you need to know to clear all the important Death's Abyss dungeon encounters in Throne and Liberty.
While the game clearly requires players to have a Vitalstone interact with these parts on Gigantrite's back, it's not very clear how to get these items – or even what they are in the first place, similar to other items. A dive into the game's lore will show that these are crystals that hold a good amount of Gigantrit blood in them, and that they also possess large amounts of Mana. For those looking to get their hands on their own so they can get on the whale and use it as it was intended, this guide has all the information to help them do just that.
How to get vital stones in throne and freedom
Gigantrite itself is the source of Vital Stones, as anyone nearby during its flight will notice that it will occasionally throw a bunch of objects off his back. At these times, players can see a bunch of glowing trails coming down from the whale, which means it has dropped some Vital Stones.
The problem is that the stones don't always land exactly where these paths are on the ground. Instead, Vital Stones seem to spawn in set locations nearby where the path hits the ground. This does following the heavy Vital Stones from the groundwhich means the best way to track them down is to get on Gigantrite's back.
Staying near its edges, players have to watch out for getting lost, at which point they have to jump and slide down close to where the glowing trails lead. They must watch for another bright light to appear on the ground at the bottom of which it will be the crystal they are looking for.
Another problem is that each Vitalstone can only be mined by one player and it will not be available to everyone. Once a player has reached it, it will disappear for everyone else. This makes it a race for anyone looking to get one as they have to get there before someone else can.
Fortunately, if a player is able to reach the crystal, they can get a good chunk of Vitalstones and Rare Marind to add to their inventory. These can then be taken on top of the Gigantrite at exchange with the Stellarite Elementwhich in turn can be used to create Stellarite. This can be used for deals 10% damage against in-game enemiesso it's definitely a useful item to have.
