YouTube Star Minato Aqua was the most popular female streamer in Q3 2024 based on peak viewership numbers. That's according to a recent report that suggests most of the most-watched female streamers during this time were active on YouTube and not Twitch.
This data comes from Streams Charts, a third-party tracking tool that regularly reports streaming industry trends. In recent years, insights from the analytics company have suggested that VTuber characters have taken over female streaming.

That trend doesn't seem to be slowing down, according to Streams Charts' latest report, which states that virtual YouTubers accounted for over half of the top 10 most popular female streamers in Q3 2024, based on peak concurrent viewer numbers. The company's newest roster is topped by Minato Aqua, a “virtual maid” whose Aqua Ch. channel peaked at 735,000 viewers at any one time during the observed period, which is more than the next five streamers combined at one place.

Only two content creators on the new shared list defy this trend. One is Puerto Rican streamer Alondrissa, who recorded 151,000 top contenders and consequently placed third in the rankings. The other is Twitch star Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, whose peak of 121,000 viewers had her at number five in the third quarter of 2024. Amouranth is also the most prolific of the Streams Charts top 10 creators, because it has been live for over 1,221 hours. during the observed period. That's almost 51 days of airtime in a span of just three months. The rest of the top 10 spent a combined 1,650 hours streaming in Q3.
Not only is the newly shared chart dominated by virtual people, but all of them ranked in the top 10 happen to be Hololive VTubers. This serves as yet another testament to how far the Tokyo-based talent agency has come since its inception in 2016, and suggests that its content creation efforts are currently at their absolute peak.
