The undeniable addition of Jake Paul in the new DLC
In a new press release, Steel City Interactive announced that it will be coming to Jake Paul Undisputed as part of the new “Problem Child” DLC pack on December 12th. The paid expansion will also add six more fighters, including Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Márquez, James “Buster” Douglas, Otto Wallin and Zhilei Zhang. According to Steel City, each of the new wrestlers will come with an alternate outfit, while his star UndisputedJake Paul's first post-launch DLC will come with three in-game outfits for players to choose from. The studio says Paul was “put to work” with full motion capture to ensure his in-game character reflects his style, combining his real-world fighting skills with his bold and unapologetic persona.
Like the boxer himself, the addition of Jake Paul was, to say the least, a controversial one. On Reddit, some fans are urging other players not to buy the upcoming DLC because there are still a lot of bugs and glitches in Undisputed which players are eager to see corrected. Fortunately, a new update is planned to be released on the very same day as the upcoming DLC, but a message from one of the game's Discord moderators indicates that it won't be a “silver bullet update,” suggesting that the patch- the probably wins. It doesn't address many of the issues fans still have with the game.
Steel City surprised fans with a new one Undisputed update in November, despite the studio saying a new patch won't be released until mid-December. The update included fixes for some of the boxing gameplay's most prominent issues, including tweaks to blocking strikers, stamina, power punches, and even a nerf to the incredibly overpowered Deontay Wilder. But with various other serious bugs (such as one affecting player registration in the game) still ongoing, fans believe that improvements to the game should be a priority at the studio.
UndisputedThe Problem Child DLC will be released on December 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC and will also come with the Clothing Pack, which includes alternate outfits for existing fighters including Deontay Wilder, Roy Jones Jr . ., Terence Crawford, Vasiliy Lomachenko, Seniesa Estrada and Sunny Edwards.
