Some will follow Honkai: Star RailHis newest gameplay, adding variety to gameplay and team building. A few quality-of-life upgrades will also be graced with version 3.0. HSR has been pretty tight-lipped about some of these updates, but there is some official media and leaked content that helps discuss each one in depth.

According to MiHoYo, Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 will be released around January 2025. Some estimate that it will specifically be released on January 14, 2025 on North American servers, and on January 15, 2025 on Asian, TW, HK, MO, and European servers. This will be a major patch with completely new environments and characters, so Trailblazers should free up their storage while waiting for this update. Those looking to pick up the new banners coming in 3.0 should start stocking up on Stellar Jades now, as they will likely dominate the endgame meta once the new Path is introduced.

One of them will probably be the new Path of Remembrance. However, there is no official information about the others yet. The trailer for this new planet also discussed its history, which included all the hallmarks of ancient Greek myths, such as gods, titans, and dramatic betrayals. The path of memory

Characters following this path will have summon units known as “Memosprites”. Here is what is known about them so far:

  • Memosprites have specialized roles in a party: Conformable HSRHis latest live stream, Memosprites can take on different tasks in battle and have various specializations. Some summons might focus on damaging and mitigating enemies, while others may have a more supportive role by healing, buffing, or protecting allies.
  • Memosprites could receive perks from teammates: The livestream also illustrated that shields like Aventurine's Fortified Bet can protect Memosprites. Sunday's Skill and Ultimate can also advance that summon's actions and improve their damage.

Herta, Aglaea and Remembrance Trailblazer

Two new banners and an interesting path switch for Trailblazer will also appear in 3.0.

  • Herta: Herta's real version is an Ice-Erudition character like her puppet, but her limited 5-star status means she'll likely have a stronger kit.
  • Aglaia: This is the first playable Remembrance character (except Remembrance Trailblazer). HSR. She wields the Lightning element and uses what looks like a dummy with a sword as a Memosprite.
  • Remembrance Trailblazer: This path switch will also change the Trailblazer item to Ice. Their memosprite looks like a cute flying creature with fluffy pink fur.

Wishful resin and variable dice

This new version will also introduce two new ways for Trailblazers to get their ideal Relic stats:

  • Wishful Resin: Trailblazers can use this resource with Self-Modeling Resin once to obtain a relic with an ideal main stat and a selected sub-stat. They can also consume four Wishful Resins to gain two sub-stats of their choice.
  • Variable Dice: This will allow players to renew a level 15 Relic stat upgrade. They can then choose to apply the new improvements or keep the old ones.

According to reliable tipster HomDGCat, players can get these rewards through the Nameless Honor Battle Pass. There is also a chance that Wishful Resin will be included in 3.0's login rewards, events, and permanent quest line. However, it's important to note that these changes and additions are based on pre-release information and leaks. Players should prepare for changes based on new information from HSRHis “Paean of Era Nova” special starting airing on January 1, 2025 at 7:30 PM or when 3.0 officially launches on January 15.
