So you'll want to get this weapon even if you don't plan on using it just in case you want to swap out the hilt or blade for the Booster Glaive version at any time.

To find it in The lies of Pfirst you'll need to get to the puppet workshop where Lorenzini Venigni is trapped. For reference, this is the area right after the Mad Donkey fight. Once you reach this area at Workshop Union Culvert Stargazer, you can quickly find the Booster Glaive nearby with relative ease.

Updated November 1, 2024 by Jacob Buchalter: There are quite a few weapons to choose from in Lies of P, and your choice of weapon will often have a significant impact on how you approach combat in general. On top of all of this, you also have the option to change the blade and hand at any time, creating an absurd number of different weapon combinations. However, you'll find that many people end up relying on either the blade or the hilt of the Booster Glaive for their primary weapon, and there's a reason for that. Booster Glaive is just an incredibly solid option in Lies of P, so let's take a look at where exactly you can find it, the best way to get it, and its general stats.

Both methods of getting the glaive booster

Both the fastest and safest method explained

Before we get into exactly where the Booster Glaive is, it's worth mentioning this There are two “ways” to get it:

method #

Method

Explanation

1

Tunnel Vision

Essentially, this method is just doing a “death run” where you'll run straight to the chest containing the Booster Glaive while trying not to get killed by the multitude of enemies you'll be attacking as you run.

2

Exploration

This is for the slower, more methodical players and involves exploring Venigni's Workshop deep until you find the level that drains the corruption fluid from the area where both the Future Puppet and the chest with the Booster Glaive inside are.

The Glaive Booster is in a chest at the end of a long moat-like drainage area near the Union Culvert Stargazer Workshop. This channel is guarded by a giant “Future Puppet” and is ankle-deep in corruption-inducing liquid.

The intended path you should take to get the Booster Glaive is to explore the Workshop until you find the method to drain this Corruption Fluid and then go back for the chest with the Booster Glaive inside. Then, after defeating the Future Puppet, you're meant to open the chest and get the Glaive.

However, it's much faster (and easier) to eat/deal with the Corruption DoT, run past the Future Puppet without fighting it, and open the Booster Glaive chest before the Puppet catches up with you. This will probably lead to your death from either the Future Doll or constant damage from the corruption, but by that point, you'll already have the Booster Glaive, so what does it matter?

How to drain the corruption liquid

In a giant pipe guarded by a shovel automaton

The intended method for obtaining the Booster Glaive involves naturally progressing through the Workshop until you hit the level that, when drawn, drains the channel of all Corruption.

However, this switch is a bit out of the way to the boss itself, meaning many of us didn't come across it naturally. So let's go over where you can find it, step by step:

Step

Description

1

From Workshop Union Culvert Stargazer, progress through the factory as usual until you reach a long hallway with flaming spheres of missing dolls continuously rolling down it.

2

Progress down this hallway avoiding the flaming orbs by hugging the open areas even to the left or right now and then. Go forward until you reach a point where a doll breaks a nearby wall on the right.

3

Go forward through this newly opened path until you return to an outside area with a ladder to your immediate right. Ignore this ladder (which leads to the boss of this area and a Stargazer) and go left instead.

4

Follow the hallway back to the Workshop area and progress through this new area involving some big red pipes, some broken dolls, and one of those terrifying robot guards with shovels (let's call them “Shovel Guards”).

5

Head into the large red pipe area and progress forward. Once you meet the Shovel Guardian, you'll know the lever is within reach.

6

Either fight or run past the Shovel Guardian, open the shortcut door on the left and activate the lever on the console that should be directly in front of you

After all of this is done, the screen should shake a bit before stopping, letting him know that the Corruption liquid has now been drained. Now you can head back up those stairs from earlier and follow that path forward to find a lever that drops a pipe down, creating a shortcut to the Workshop Union Culvert Stargazer.

The fact that this weapon has a D in Motivation and a B in Technique is quite unique, as it is a Greatsword that seems to favor Dexterity over Strength.

That said, this scaling is hilt based, so if you want a version of this weapon for a strength build, just slap the Blade on a Motricity scaling hilt or use a Motivity crank on the Glaive hilt.

Is it really that good?

P's Lies - Charged attack with Booster Glaive

As for a final verdict on Booster Glaive: All around this is an absolutely fantastic gun. And to avoid any confusion, here's why:

  • Despite its Greatsword blade, the hilt makes this very technique-focused, which is great for “dexterity” builds.
  • A quick handle change or crank addition can adapt the handle to whatever you need.
  • The handle attack pattern is also quite nice as it is simple and repetitive.
  • Charged Heavy Attack is by far its most interesting feature, as it has a forward momentum attack that can help you close distance incredibly quickly.
  • The blade itself is also great as it is better than the default Greatsword blade and also looks a bit more “natural” when combined with most of the other hilts.

All in all, the Booster Glaive is one of the best weapons to pick up early on, and in the right hands, can trivialize many of the difficult early game moments.
