The Straw Hat Pirates are the main heroes One piece. Of course, the story revolves around them. Each crew member is indispensable because they serve an important purpose. Currently, the Straw Hat Pirates have ten members, with Jimbei being the most recent.
They only became a proper crew after receiving the Going Merry from Kaya. Luffy and his friends help Usopp and Kaya save their island from Kuro's clutches. After Kuro's defeat, Usopp decided to join the Straw Hats and become their sniper. Because of his upbringing, Usopp became a liar. He lies about a lot of things, but they serve a greater purpose. In fact, they are used by Oda as a form of foreshadowing of future events.

Why are Usopp's lies important?
Almost all of Usopp's lies can be considered predictions about the future. By now, many lies have become reality and as a result are disqualified from being false. Lies don't become truths immediately, but they take time.
Whenever Usopp lies, fans can expect it to come true in the future. Therefore, it is extremely important to remember all the lies that the Straw Hat Sniper tells. Already, fans have seen many of these lies come true, and with the story of the Final Saga, it's likely that the rest will become real.
Usopp's lies that became real
The first lie Usopp told was about pirates coming to Syrup Village. Many times, Usopp would shout and scream that the village was under attack by pirates. Initially, the villagers believed him, but there came a time when they realized that he was just a liar.
This lie became the truth in the same arc when the Black Cat Pirates attacked Syrup Village. Led by Captain Kuro, the pirates would surely destroy the peaceful village. Fortunately, Usopp's new allies defeated them and saved the village.
The second lie that turned out to be true was about a fish whose poop was so huge it was possible to cover a store on it. Usopp told Kaya this story to keep her spirits up since she was always sick. This lie became true in the Little Garden arc, where the Straw Hat Pirates encountered a massive goldfish. The poop of the fish was so big that it was known as Nanimonai Island.
Of course it was fake! I can't lift five tons! I gave up after five kilos!” “Usopp.”
Usopp's lie about the goldfish also mentioned a country of small people who ate massive fish. While the goldfish part came true in Little Garden, the other half of the lie only became real in the Dressrosa arc. The Tontatta tribe debuted in the Dressrosa arc. They were fierce fighters who caught and ate the fighting fish that were present in the waters around the island. The members of the Tontatta tribe liked Usopp and considered him untouchable.
The Mole, the Dragon and the Cerberus
Another lie of Usopp's was about a giant mole inside the mansion. This lie was about Miss Merry Christmas, who possessed the Mogu Mogu no Mi, a Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allowed her to transform into a mole.
Usopp also lied about catching a dragon and chasing a Cerberus. The latter happened in the Thriller Bark arc, where the Straw Hats encountered one of Moria and Hogback's creations. The beast looked fierce at first, but Luffy and his friends tamed it in no time. The crew encountered a dragon in Punk Hazard. It was quite massive and could easily wipe out an entire city. Roronoa Zoro took on the responsibility of elimination and did it with aplomb.
First reward as Sogeking
When Luffy received the 30 million reward, Usopp claimed it as his, which was obviously a lie. But this lie also became real. Usopp was posing as Sogeking in the Enies Lobby arc because he didn't want to face Luffy and the rest of the crew. After the Straw Hats successfully rescued Robin and defeated CP9, the crew received new rewards. Usopp's new bounty as Sogeking was 30 million.
What more lies have to come true?
Usopp threw out six lies that had yet to become true. These include:
- Pretending to be a brave warrior of the sea
- An alien shop owner
- A medicine that can cure everything
- He has 8,000 followers
- Battle the sea kings in the Calm Belt
With One Piece in its final saga, Usopp doesn't have much time to turn these lies into truth. The medicine that can cure everything will probably be discovered by Chopper, who wants to become the greatest doctor in the world.
The lie about fighting the Sea Kings is related to the final battle against Imu. It was stated that the water level would rise again, bringing about a change in the geography of the entire world. Creatures living in the ocean will definitely be affected by it and may become more aggressive. Usopp's lie/dream of becoming a brave sea warrior will probably come true when he fights the Blackbeard Pirates and defeats Van Augur.
