Jujutsu Kaisen ended quite recently and while the ending certainly left fans quite sad, it also left them confused as many things in the story were unresolved. JJK the ending is widely considered to be one of the most rushed that fans have seen in years, even if that doesn't take much away from it.

Because of the nature of the story's ending, fans are incredibly excited for a sequel that JJK will receive very soon, with the release of volume 30, the final volume of the series. It has now been confirmed that JJK gets an epilogue, just like My hero academy done rather recently.

Jujutsu Kaisen ended on a very positive note with the likes of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara taking the reins of the new era. Yuji has officially inherited Gojo's dream, and fans know he will be a phenomenal wizard in the future. The world of JJK has changed quite a bit, with the heads of JJK society removed from power and a new order installed. That said, fans didn't get to see the new command feature at all. Many character plots were left unresolved, and fans felt that the series could have been much better if the ending had been fleshed out a bit more. Fortunately, JJK is getting a 16-page epilogue, as announced on the Jump Festa 2025 stage for the series.

Jujutsu Kaisen will finally publish its final volume at the end of this month, and with the volume, fans will be treated to a new epilogue that will take the end of the series to new heights. Fans who are also interested in other Shonen series might remember this My hero academy recently received the epilogue. In the epilogue, a lot of character lines were fleshed out, such as those surrounding Ochako Uraraka and Deku, which made an already interesting ending even better. Of course, the author felt that he had more freedom when approaching the epilogue, as the constraints that bound him during the weekly coverage of Shonen Jump no longer applied to him, and this meant that the characters were freer.

A similar logic would apply for JJKand fans might see a different version of the characters. It's possible that JJK will get another time jump and fans will surely enjoy it. At this point, fans haven't been given much information about the nature of the epilogue, but it certainly raised quite a few questions, especially regarding Gojo Satoru. It is safe to say that he was the face of the series for many years, which is why his death in JJK chapter 236 hit the fans pretty hard. Fans were hoping for Gojo's return right up to the end of the series and were disappointed when it didn't materialize. Now, JJK will continue with his epilogue, and fans are hoping that an update on Gojo's future will be given here.

Will Gojo return in the JJK epilogue?

A comeback for Gojo is highly unlikely here

The question of whether Gojo will return to JJK epilogue or not is a rather intriguing one. Of course, it would be brilliant for the series if Gojo actually came back and played an active role in the story. However, at this point, Gojo's return is simply an illusion. There is absolutely no way that Gege could see Gojo coming back to the story, because if he did, it would massively alter the last chapter of the story. Essentially, Gojo entrusted his dream to Yuji, and this development would mean absolutely nothing if he simply returned in the next chapter.

Aren't we sick of Gojo Satoru already? – Gojo

As Gojo himself said, the show has had enough of Gojo Satoru, and now it's time for the next generation to step on the scene. Gojo even asked Yuji to look for another type of strength than his own, which could be interpreted in many ways, but it is said that Gojo's time has come to an end and he has done all he can do. His dream has now become Yuji's dream, and most importantly, his biggest dream of changing the Jujutsu Society has already been fulfilled. Everything Gojo strove to do was done.

Of course, that's not to say that Gojo's ending was satisfying, because it's pretty clear that the author dropped the ball on this character towards the end. There are still plotlines that are unresolved regarding Gojo, but with the way the last chapter ended, all hope of Gojo returning has been dashed by the author. As such, fans waiting for JJK's next chapter should not expect a return from Gojo Satoru at this time.

Which characters will the JJK Epilogue focus on?

While the epilogue certainly won't feature Gojo in the current timeline, fans might get a flashback from the character. Gojo was an active presence in JJK even after his death, mostly through flashbacks. In the last few chapters, fans saw Gojo giving a note to Nobara telling her where her mother is. Now, fans officially know that JJK's epilogue will focus on Nobara, along with other characters. The part focusing on Nobara could be related to Gojo's message and her searching for her own mother.

Look for a different kind of strength than me, Yuji. – Gojo

Similarly, there are other characters that this epilogue will focus on. Fans know that Ozawa will be central to the plot, and for those who don't remember, she's the same character who was once in love with Yuji. Of course, a relationship between these two characters never materialized, but now it's possible that Gege is building towards something in the epilogue.

Other characters they will be involved with JJK epilogue are Panda and Uraume. While no one is interested in what happens to Panda in the epilogue, Uraume is a completely different story. Through Uraume's character, fans could actually explore more of Sukuna, and big mysteries about his character could be revealed. It's safe to say that JJK's epilogue is going to be absolutely massive, and while it's pretty short, it's going to reveal some interesting information to fans that they can only hope will be used for more content in the future. It's an exciting time to be a JJK fan despite the manga being over as there's still an incredible anime adaptation to look forward to as well as a massive epilogue.
