Specifically, Reddit user SonicFonico recently noticed that the Xbox app on the Fire TV Stick lists the most recent main entry in Crash Bandicoot franchise as an Xbox Game Pass title, even though it isn't. Clicking on the thumbnail, however, redirects them to Crash Bandicoot Trilogy N. Sane page in the Xbox Store.
Microsoft cutting short an unannounced Xbox Game Pass release is very possible. Similar blunders occurred several times in 2024 alone, such as when the company sent a premature notice about My time at Sandrock coming to Xbox Game Pass in June. However, this particular case warrants mention Crash Bandicoot 4 could have been a bug, especially since the Xbox app thumbnail redirects to another list. Using artwork from Crash Bandicoot 4 instead of visually similar Crash Bandicoot Trilogy N. Sane would be an understandable mistake for someone at Microsoft.
Crash Bandicoot 4 is coming to Xbox Game Pass sooner or later
However, seeing as how Microsoft is now in the process of rolling out Activision Blizzard titles to its subscription-based library, Crash Bandicoot 4 it will have to come to Xbox Game Pass sooner or later. This month seems like as good a time as any for that to happen, especially since Xbox Game Pass currently only has two titles confirmed for December 2024. Of course, the first wave of its monthly slate has yet to be announced officially, which is likely to happen on or around Tuesday, December 3rd.
