Zero DLC leaks could atone for a roster sin

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has already begun to attract a considerable amount of DLC speculation. This isn't a huge surprise considering the game has already started revealing some of its plans for the near future. Discussions and speculations have been further fueled by recent leaks as well as a few notable exclusions from Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

As far as playable characters go, it's almost strange to ask for more Sparking Zero. After all, the game's roster is pretty cool as it is Dragon Ball: Sparking ZeroHis season pass confirmed his intentions to further expand with up to 20 additional characters. Fans have so far only been able to find listed characters, often with little direct indication of their purpose in the game. For example, characters leaked in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero it could simply be cut content or a planned release for future DLC.

However, a leak has begun to provide just a little more clarity. X (formerly Twitter) user ProDigitalY posted two screenshots that revealed the existence of a “Martial Arts Pack,” which appears to be a yet-to-be-revealed DLC. Of course, this martial arts pack has yet to be officially revealed, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to glean about its title.

Although Sparking Zero fully embraces the bombastic battles the series is now known for, Dragon Ball it had a much smaller scale. Akira Toriyama's greatest strength at the time was in gag manga, and he used this comedic emphasis to give a unique flavor to martial arts. Considering that Budokai Tenkaichi series itself is named after a martial arts tournament, it doesn't seem like a stretch to suggest that the martial arts pack may focus on the series that introduced it.

The martial arts pack certainly has a vague name, which can make it difficult to predict otherwise. After all, almost every character in Dragon Ball practice martial arts to some extent. However, Dragon Ball it certainly gave legitimate martial arts the narrowest, compared to the titanic scale of the later series.
